Former leader and supervisors at MOI referred to Public Prosecution
Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) stated that it has referred a former leader and supervisors at the Ministry of Information to the Public Prosecution. Following its investigations, Nazaha has determined that there is suspicion of embezzlement and the facilitation thereof as per Article 10 of Law No. 1 for 1993 on the Protection of Public Funds and forgery according to Article 257 of Law No. 16 for 1960 on the Penal Code, as well as the corruption crimes in Article 22 (items 1-4) of Law No. 2 for 2016 on the establishment of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha).
Nazaha refers MOF former leaders to Public Prosecution
Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) stated that it has referred former leaders of the Ministry of Finance (MOF) to the Public Prosecution. Following its investigations, Nazaha has determined that there is suspicion of unintentional damage to public funds as per Article 14 of Law No. 1 for 1993 on the Protection of Public Funds which is deemed a corruption crime according to Article 22 of Law No. 2 for 2016 on the Establishment of Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority.
Nazaha refers MEW supervisor to Public Prosecution
Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) stated that it has referred a supervisor at the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy (MEW) to the Public Prosecution.
NBK launches "Bankee" financial literacy program in schools in cooperation with Nazaha and Ministry of Education
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education (MOE) and Kuwait Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) launched "Bankee" in select schools in Kuwait. The program aims at raising financial awareness among school students by introducing them to the financial culture in a practical and interactive way.
Nazaha refers a leader at the Municipal Council to the Public Prosecution
Kuwait Anticorruption Authority (Nazaha) has referred to the Public Prosecution a leader at the Municipal Council who is charged with committing a corruption crime. The person obtained papers that were available to him due to his duties and kept them in his sole possession. The referral comes in implementation of Article 9 of Law No. 1 of 1993 on the protection of public funds and Article 22(a) of Law No. 2 of 2016 on the establishment of Kuwait Anticorruption Authority.
