Nazaha participated in the Added Value of Internal Audit Forum organized by the State Audit Bureau. Nazaha contributed as a speaker in the panel discussion entitled, “Added Value of Internal Audit and its Role in Achieving Governance, Independence, and Accountability.”
The forum highlighted the importance of the role of internal audit in enhancing integrity and combating corruption. It showcased Nazaha’s experience in activating its Inspection and Audit Office. The forum resulted in several recommendations, including conducting intensive workshops with all government entities to build the capacity of internal auditors to carry out their duties effectively. It was proposed that such workshops were to be held in coordination between Nazaha and the State Audit Bureau, in fulfillment of the initiatives of the Kuwait Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy. Additionally, recommendations included holding workshops for the supervisors in government entities to promote the culture of internal audit and its role in enhancing quality and efficiency within organizational units, emphasizing that its role extends beyond monitoring and documentation of findings.
